MEA is dedicated to servicing the community of Manchester. Please consider these charities for your donations and gift giving.
~MEA donates monthly to the New Hampshire Food Bank. All donations can be dropped off with Building Reps at each school, or in the Granite Lunch Box Restaurant at the Brady Sullivan Tower where the MEA office is located.
~MEA donates used cell phones to Soldiers Helpers NH. Bring your used cell phones to your building rep or to the office. These phones are turned in for calling cards so soldiers can call home while stationed around the world.
~MEA donates the front half of greeting cards to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. These are turned into handmade greeting cards that St. Jude’s sells for donations. Cards that are copyrighted by Hallmark, American Greetings and Disney cannot be used. All card fronts must be free of personal writing. Please send only the front of the card.
~MEA donates necessary items to Liberty House. Please send in items like: tents, blankets, hats, gloves, socks, hand warmers, canned foods with pop-tops.
~MEA donates to the Scott McGilvray Children’s Fund. This is a fund that teachers can apply to for their students. As students’ needs arise, and the items may be too costly for their families, the NHFTL provides the funds for the needs. NHFTL has provided for glasses, braces, school supplies, camp tuitions, clothing, activity participation (eg.- tuxedo shirts for choral performances, when the child’s family cannot buy it themselves). Donations can also be given through Amazon Smile.
~MEA donates to Toys for Tots, sponsored by the US Marines. Bring new unwrapped toys to the office, or to schools that are drop off sites.
~MEA supports the Martin Luther King, Jr. Coalition. Our local donates prize money for the student contests.
~MEA works closely with Christopher Ruggiero, agent for Horace Mann in Manchester. Chris provides seminars and webinars on Student Loan Forgiveness, Financial Services, and Retirement.
